🌟Level Up Your Life: Choosing You for Epic Personal Growth!
Unlock your best self! Level up your life by choosing you for epic growth!
Hello changemakers 👋
I'm pretty happy about this week's newsletter because it's packed with actionable tips on how to being truly yourself with choosing to level up for personal growth.
This week I’m going to show you:
The beauty of authenticity and why choosing yourself enhances it.
Why choosing yourself is best for personal growth.
Two epic techniques to improve yourself authentically.
Get ready for some cool ideas! 🌱
This week, I heard a podcast talking about how it's super cool to be yourself. I wanted to share my thoughts on this and why I believe it’s better to choose yourself instead.
Being you and choosing you
There’s definitely a certain beauty in being authentically you. That is, as long as being authentically you is really what you desire. If you're naturally adventurous and outgoing and want to find a girlfriend soon, then totally be yourself! But if you're naturally shy, and talking in public makes you stutter, and you still have the same goal, being yourself is an option, but it might not be the best way to reach it.
Back when I was a teenager, I was super shy, and talking to people felt really hard for me. I could have just stayed shy forever, but I chose to try and be more confident so that I don't stutter when I'm talking to strangers. Choosing yourself isn't about changing who you are; it's more like adding cool layers to your authenticity. Think of it like a sculptor refining a masterpiece, carving away what doesn't fit, and showing the true form.
Now, imagine life as an epic video game, and you're the main character facing challenges and celebrating victories. Your journey is like a game with different skills – confidence, charisma, and more – making you the awesome character you are. Levelling up is not about leaving your true self behind; it's a smart move to get stronger. Like a gamer improving specific skills to conquer different game levels, you're getting better and stronger in the awesome game of life.
Levelling up
Now that we've explored the idea of being yourself and the exciting journey of choosing who you want to be, let's discover a couple of awesome techniques to become the best version of yourself.
The first one is resilience. Life is like a game with surprises, and building resilience is the key to bouncing back stronger. Imagine setbacks as temporary respawns, not the end of the game. Here's how you can grow your resilience:
Mindset Shift: Train your mind to see setbacks as chances to learn and grow. Instead of being sad about things not going well, think about what you can learn from the experience. Consider setbacks as stepping stones to success rather than big problems.
Reflection and Learning: After facing a tough situation, take a moment to think about what happened. What went wrong, and how can you do things differently next time? This thinking helps you turn setbacks into lessons that make you better.
Positive Affirmations: Include positive thoughts in your daily routine. Remind yourself of your strengths and past successes. Positive thoughts can make it easier to face challenges with a strong and happy mindset.
The second one is goal setting. Setting and achieving goals is like going on an exciting adventure in the game of life. Here's how to make goal-setting a powerful technique:
Break it Down: Large quests can be overwhelming. Break down big goals into smaller, manageable tasks. If your quest is to learn a new language, start with learning a certain number of vocabulary words each day. These smaller tasks create a clear roadmap for your journey.
Celebrate Milestones: Acknowledge and celebrate your achievements along the way. Completing a quest, no matter how small, deserves recognition. These small wins fuel your motivation and provide a sense of accomplishment.
Adaptability: Life can change, and things may not always go as planned. Be flexible in your goal-setting. If one way isn't working, be open to trying a different strategy. Being flexible ensures that your goals stay possible and fulfilling.
By trying out these steps, you'll be able to bounce back after tough times and conquer your goals with a clear plan. Remember, every time you learn from setbacks and achieve something, you're moving one step closer to becoming the best version of yourself in this extraordinary game called life.
Cheers,
Ignasi 🚀
Actionable tip of the week ðŸ›
Recently, I discovered this feature in Outlook, and it has been a game-changer. Setting up personalized color-coding for your emails helps you quickly spot important messages from people like your boss or family.
It makes your inbox more organized, saving time and ensuring you don't miss crucial emails. This personalized touch adds efficiency to managing your emails, making your overall experience smoother.
To make important emails stand out, set up rules in Outlook. Go to View > Current View > View Settings > Conditional Formatting. Add a rule, name it, pick font settings, choose a color, and set conditions for specific senders.
For multiple contacts, separate email addresses with a semicolon. For a company domain, use "@" (e.g., @techlicious.com). Apply the rule, and emails from those contacts will stand out with the chosen color and font.
To apply color coding to all folders, go to View > Change Views > Apply Current View to Other Mail Folders. Select folders and choose "Apply view to subfolders" for new ones.
