🔊 Get Noticed at Work: Effective Phrases for Success
Hello changemakers đź‘‹
if you are also in the corporate career like myself, you’ve probably been before in meetings where it feels like only two or three people are doing all the talking. And sometimes it can happen that you aren’t one of them. And I’m not sure about you, but for me it’s always been frustrating when I feel I’ve done a lot of good work, but I can’t speak up in the meeting and get recognized for it.
This is actually a common struggle, even for very talented professionals who work hard but still feel overlooked. But here’s the good news — you don’t need to be the loudest person in the room to get noticed. Recently I read the book, “Smart, Not Loud: How to Get Noticed at Work for All the Right Reasons,” which explores this topic, and it shows that it’s all about making your voice heard without having to shout over everyone else.
So today, I want to share with you four key phrases that the most successful people use daily to get noticed and move ahead.
1. “I’m excited about this.”
People remember how you made them feel more than what you actually said. Leverage this by injecting emotion into your communication. Use phrases like “I’m excited about this” to convey enthusiasm and bring energy into the room. Your passion will make your ideas more compelling and memorable.
2. “Here’s what’s new.”
Follow-ups can be awkward, but they’re necessary. Instead of a generic “Just checking in,” provide something new and valuable. For example, “Since our last conversation, I found some interesting data that supports our project. Here’s what’s new…” This keeps the momentum going and positions you as someone who adds value every step of the way.
3. “Back then…”
Talking about your achievements can feel like bragging, but it doesn’t have to. Use contrast to highlight your progress: “Back then, it took twice as long, but now we’ve halved the time thanks to our new process.” This not only showcases your impact but also your growth, without coming across as boastful.
4. “Thank you for…”
Gratitude goes a long way, but being specific about it can make it even more powerful. Instead of a simple “Thanks,” say “Thank you for endorsing me for that project, it really made a difference.” This shows appreciation in a way that’s genuine and encourages more of that supportive behavior in the future.
These phrases are more than just words; they’re tools that can help you communicate more effectively and get noticed for the right reasons. It’s not about being loud — it’s about being smart with how you express yourself.
You’ve got the talent and the skills. Now, let’s make sure your voice is heard.
Wishing you a standout week,

Totally recommended if you’re also trying to improve your copywriting skills and improve conversion rates in your sales funnels
